Gifts in cash or cheque are the most common forms of support. Cheques can be made payable to Stratford Hall and directed to the Director of Community Development. Donations by credit card can be processed online, in person, in writing or over the phone and are subject to transactional feeds.
We are happy to accept gifts of appreciated securities. Under the current taxation rules, donors are exempt from capital gains when they donate eligible securities to a registered charity such as Stratford Hall. The transfer of shares is simple and straightforward. For more information on donating a gift of securities, please contact Dave Dirks, our Director of Finance at dave.dirks@stratfordhall.ca
Stratford Hall welcomes pledges – a formal written statement of donor’s intention to make a gift at a later date or on an installment basis over a defined period of time. Larger gifts are often organized in this way. Please contact the Community Development office or print and return this form to the school if you would like more information on this type of arrangement.
We are happy to accept gifts-in-kind (gifts of tangible personal property.) If you are interested in donating a gift in kind, please speak to the Director of Community Development. Tax receipts can be offered for these types of gifts, however the market value of the item must be established, possibly by a qualified expert.
