Dear Parents, Alumni, Family and Friends,
As an important member of our community, you have an integral role to play in making Stratford Hall’s programs the best that they can be. As an independent school, our ability to offer progressive, multi-faceted programs within the IB framework relies heavily on the funding we generate beyond tuition and government subsidies. Our ability to educate Stratford Hall students to the highest global standards – to shape the stories that will define their futures – is directly affected by the depth of your generosity.
A successful and sustained annual fund depends on the participation of every member of the school community – parents, grandparents, governors, faculty, staff, former parents, alumni, friends, foundations and corporations. We need you all.
We also expect that you will need information from us. In the interest of transparency and accountability, we will be sharing how the Stratford Hall advancement vision evolves with regular updates throughout the year. Our first step is to speak to the most fundamental of all stakeholders – our students; this is a process we have already begun.
This year our focus is on raising at least $350,000 to replace the play structure at Clark Park that our students use every day they are in school. Now too old to remain, the play structure is slated to be torn down by the Parks and Recreation Board of Vancouver. Through collaboration with the Parks Board, the school has secured and agreement that will see the Park's Board design, install and maintain a new play structure if the Stratford Hall community can raise the funds for the design fees and materials. Our goal is to raise this $350,000 by Tuesday, Novemeber 1st, 2016 on our first-ever GIVINGTUESDAY. To help #SAVECLARKPARK, please donate using the link below or reach out to the Community Development office at any time.
If after reviewing the fund details, you wish to find a way to profoundly shape the story of our future, please do not hesitate to contact me or the Advancement Office.
Our doors are always open.
Together we can make the next chapter of the Stratford Hall story our students’ best yet.
