Before and After School Care

Stratford Hall offers Before School Care for Junior School students beginning at 7:30 am, and After School Care for students in Kindergarten to Grade 7 until 5:30 pm each school day.

Designed to support busy families, the program provides a safe, familiar, and engaging environment where students can connect, create, play, and unwind at the end of the day. Activities are responsive to student interests and may include games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, collaborative projects, and access to school spaces and resources.

Families can choose between flexible drop-in care or pre-registered After School Care sessions, depending on their scheduling needs. Registration is managed through SchoolsBuddy.

Students who take the afternoon school bus are supported by After School Care staff until bus departure.

As part of Stratford Hall’s Campus Transformation Project, the school is also planning a new multi-purpose gathering space that will serve as a dining hall with a professional kitchen offering on-site catering during the school day and a central hub for assemblies, performances, events, and community gatherings. Designed as a vibrant shared space for students across grade levels, it will help strengthen the sense of connection and community that is central to the Stratford Hall experience.

    Transportation

Located in the welcoming Cedar Cottage/Kensington neighbourhood of East Vancouver, Stratford Hall is well connected by public transit, with SkyTrain access and bus routes within a 5-10 minute walk from campus. Bicycle parking is also available on campus for students who choose to cycle to school.

Stratford Hall offers several transportation options to help students travel to and from campus safely and conveniently.

The school offers two round-trip school bus routes: Arbutus/Yaletown and Richmond. The service offers a reliable daily transportation option for students across grade levels. Students in Kindergarten to Grade 7 using the afternoon bus service are also supported through After School Care until bus departure.

This is a daily service, and families must register annually. The cost for the bus service is $950 each way for the first child and $750 per sibling per year. For bus route details, schedules, and registration information, please visit the Parent Portal. Please note that bus service is dependent on community need and routes may change.
