Building confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong connection to sport
At Stratford Hall, athletics is about far more than competition. It is where students learn to challenge themselves, support one another, and grow through both success and setback. Through sport, they develop confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of integrity that carries far beyond the playing field.
From the earliest years through graduation, students have opportunities to explore a wide range of sports in an environment that values participation, growth, and team spirit. For those who choose to pursue competitive sports, opportunities expand to challenge and refine their skills at a higher level.
Across every season, students learn what it means to commit to a team, show up for one another, and represent their school with pride.
A strong start
In the Junior School, students are introduced to to the different elements that sports entail in their PE classes.
PE classes scaffold the skills that are required in various team sports, emphasizing curiosity, confidence, and joy in movement. Students try new sports, learn to work with others, build confidence, and begin to understand what it means to be part of a team.

Building skills and commitment
As students move into the Senior School, their experiences deepen. They refine their skills, build consistency, and learn the value of discipline, perseverance, and leadership—both as teammates and as representatives of their school.
Students are supported by dedicated coaches who support both athletic development and personal growth.
With increasing levels of competition through the Senior School, students in Grades 8–12 compete in team sports across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island, while programs, such as run club, continue to offer opportunities for participation and fitness.
