The heart of our approach
At Stratford Hall, our philosophy is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: when students are truly known and supported, they are empowered to discover their voice, their purpose, and what they are capable of.
Where students are known and supported
We are a close-knit, inclusive community in the heart of East Vancouver that combines the rigorous academic framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB) with distinctive, hands-on learning experiences, intentionally designed to prepare every student for success in a complex and rapidly changing world.
We cultivate an education where challenge inspires, curiosity is nurtured, and confidence grows, day by day.
The IB Continuum: Our Foundational Framework
Stratford Hall is one of a small number of schools offering the full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
This globally recognized framework is not just a set of courses, but a progressive philosophy designed to teach students how to think, not just what to think.

A Connected Pathway from K to Grade 12
As a Continuum IB World School, we offer three connected programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP) from Kindergarten to Grade 5, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) from Grades 6 to 10, and the Diploma Programme (DP) in Grades 11 and 12. Together, they form one intentional learning pathway, steadily building the crucial Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, like critical thinking, communication, and self-management, that students need to thrive.
Across all three programmes, learning is inquiry-driven, encouraging students to ask deep questions, engage with real-world problems, and grow as thoughtful, principled, and capable individuals.
