I. Application Process

List of 3 items.

  • Step 1: Application Form

Complete and submit an application form. A $300 one-time, non-refundable application fee is required (paid online with a credit card).
  • Step 2: Submit Supporting Documentation

Online checklist assigned upon submission of a completed application.
    1. Birth Certificate
    2. Most recent report card (if applicable)
    3. Confidential Reference Form (sent directly to a referee of your choice from the application portal)
    4. SSAT Score and Character Skills Snapshot (Grades 6-11)

The SSAT and Character Skills Snapshot is a standardized test used by admission offices to assess the abilities of students seeking to enroll in an independent school. All students wishing to be considered for Grade 6 to Grade 11 must write the SSAT by December 2. Consideration for exemption will be given to students currently enrolled in an IB programme.

A list of test dates and locations can be found here.
  • Step 3: Schedule a Parent Interview

Once you have access to your online applicant checklist, you will be able to arrange your parent interview. This is for parents only. There is no need to make special arrangements to have your child attend this interview.

II. Assessment

List of 3 items.

  • Overview

During your visit to Stratford Hall, you will learn that we are looking for active learners who can engage in the IB curriculum and civic responsibilities, develop relationships, and become global citizens. We use a combination of assessment methods to assess students on their academic abilities as well as their social skills. Stratford Hall teachers observe each candidate’s ability to work in groups, how they interact socially, as well as evaluate the student's individual written and oral activities.
  • Kindergarten, Grade 1 & 2

Please refer to your checklist and follow the assessment instructions. We look to build a class with a range of personalities and skill levels.
  • Grade 3 - 11

These assessments involve tasks that are similar to the tasks our current students are working on, and are related to our present curriculum. Part of the application process involves one-on-one conversations between a teacher and the applicant.

III. Enrollment

Accepted students will receive a letter of acceptance and a registration package. Registration fees must be paid at the time of enrollment to retain a place in the accepted grade. Registration must be completed by the deadline stated by the School.
