After School Care

We are pleased to offer After School care for students in Kindergarten to Grade 7 every day from school dismissal time,(3:20pm for Kindergarten to Grade 5 and 3:30pm for Grades 6 and 7) until 5:30pm. ASC rates are $15 per day.

Our After School Care program is run by a team of support staff who are an integral part of our school community. Programs are developed based on student interest and are designed to engage students with each other and with the supervising staff.

Our program is run within the school facilities allowing students to have access to a variety of resources and materials. Our program is divided into three unique groupings: Kindergarten - Grade 2, Grades 3-5 and 6 and 7. After school care will begin on Wednesday, September 4. *Kindergarten families please note that after school care will not be available during gradual entry over the first two weeks.

Registration

After School Care will be provided for students in Grades 1-7 during the first two weeks of school (September 4-13) prior to the start of clubs. Registration for these two weeks can be completed below. The deadline to register is Monday, September 2.

Registration for the remainder of Term 1 After School Care will is now open. Please register below. The deadline to register is Monday, September 9.

After School Care is also provided on a drop-in basis. Drop-in rates are $20 per day. To have your child attend After School Care on a drop-in basis, parents are asked to email asc@stratfordhall.ca to register your child on the day After School Care is needed.

In addition to managing this program, ASC staff work closely with our teachers, providing them with additional support during classes and outside during recess and lunch breaks.

Our Kindergarten to Grade 2 program is focused on play-based learning and socializing.

The daily routine for this age group includes:

  • Guided craft and art activities
  • Outdoor and physical play activities in the park, on the rooftop or in the gymnasium
  • Unstructured group play time

Our Grade 3-7 program has an increased emphasis on homework completion, as well as the opportunity for play-based learning and socializing.

The daily routine for this age group includes:

  • Quiet homework time with support staff guidance and assistance
  • Outdoor and physical play activities in the park, on the rooftop or in the gymnasium
  • Unstructured group play time
