At Stratford Hall, we believe that athletics are a vital part of a well-rounded education and play an important role in shaping the student experience. Our interscholastic sports program is closely aligned with the school's mission and vision, offering students opportunities to grow as individuals and teammates, both on and off the fields. We encourage broad participation across a range of sports, ensuring that all students have the chance to develop their skills, build confidence, and experience the value of teamwork.

Beyond skill development, our athletic program instills values that last a lifetime: citizenship, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and respect for oneself, teammates, opponents, and referees. With the guidance of skilled and dedicated coaches, our student-athletes learn to lead with integrity and serve as role models within the school community.

As members of the Independent School Elementary Association (ISEA), our students compete against other independent schools in the Vancouver and Victoria areas, offering enriching opportunities for challenge, camaraderie, and personal growth.

Physical Education

Many first-time visitors are amazed that two of our buildings contain full-sized comprehensive gymnasiums, with exercise and training facilities that rival those of a downtown sports club. And, while we do have physical and health education classes, we integrate fitness into other areas of study as well; for example, our Japanese Taiko drums in Music class offers a workout that epitomizes the synchronization of mind and body.
